Immigration More Important Than Taxes For Democrats

House passes Dream Act.  http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-1209-congress-20101209,0,7164104.story

Amnesty for illegal immigrants is more important to pass than stopping the largest tax increase in the history of our country.  The Democrat's priority is to give amnesty to people who entered our country illegally and not to stop a 50% increase in taxes for the lowest bracket of tax payers.

History proves that raising taxes in a time of a faltering economy is a recipe for disaster.  Hoover raised taxes after the stock market crash of 1929 and his actions made matters worse.

When FDR came into office he started the "New Deal."  His administration doubled spending with no improvement in job creation.  As reported here at State Of Emergency, FDR's own Treasury Secretary said,  “we have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work. . . . After eight years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started . . . and an enormous debt to boot!”
