According to the Huffington Post a senior State Department official said, that aides to the president began contemplating laying out a new framework for the mideast soon after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was forced to step down. This official was also quoted by HP as saying, "this is a speech that has been a long time in coming."
The real question is how long has the president been planning to throw Israel under the bus and when did senior officials at the State Department learn of the fact?
A follow up question might be did the Huffington Post know about Obama's plan to ask Israel to commit suicide and not report it?
Either way it will be interesting to see how the Huffington Post rallies to prop up Obama.
