Chicago: A school banns sack lunches and the principle of another school would not allow children to eat breakfast because they had on the wrong kind of black shoes. Now in Baltimore police arrest a Lacrosse player because he had a lighter in his equipment bag.
School administrators are out of touch with reality and the children are paying the price. When schools have the power to dictate what your children can eat things are out of hand. No on should be able to tell a parent what to feed their children and require that all students eat only food provided or purchased from the school. It is also absurd that a principle would pull children out of the food line because they had on the wrong kind of shoes. Likewise branding a lighter as an explosive device is insane.
