Fliers Claim TSA Have Deactivated Body Scanners

If it is all about security then why would the TSA have the body scanners turned off on the heaviest travel day of the year?

The day before the Thanksgiving holiday is typically one of the heaviest travel days of the year. With the focus on increased airport security, full-body scans, pet-downs, it's bound to be busy at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport.
We're taking photos from the security lines and busier spots from around the airport and posting them live to the slideshow below.

I don't see any body scanners in Minnesota.  You simply can not opt out if the scanners are not in use.
